Ingredients

1/3 cup milk
1 envelope unflavored gelatin powder (.25 ounces)
2 1/2 cups heavy cream
1/2 cup sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla bean paste
(if you do not have vanilla bean paste replace with vanilla extract)

Directions

Mix the gelatin powder and milk in a small bowl and set aside.

In a large heavy saucepan add the heavy cream and sugar and set over medium until it starts to boil.

Keep an eye on your cream, it will rise it the pot when it starts to boil.

Add the gelatin mixture into your pot and stir for an additional minute.

Remove from the heat and add in the vanilla bean paste then pour into your 6 ramekin dishes.

Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature.

Once cooled cover with plastic wrap and place in the fridge for at least 5 hours.

Remove from the fridge, once ready to enjoy, and using the smallest knife you have run it around the inside edge of the panna cotta.

Place the ramekin on your serving dish upside down and tap the top.

If you find it just won’t come out fear not!

Just fill a shallow bowl with hot water and place your ramekin in the hot water for one minute at a time then try again.

Repeat until it comes out.

Top with your favorite topping. Caramel or chocolate sauce. Blueberry, raspberry, strawberry syrup.

Even chocolate shavings!
