When I became pregnant I was incredibly happy. I had a very smooth pregnancy – no morning sickness and no complications. My birth story is a little different. Without going into too many details I need to have a few surgeries after my daughter was born. 3 years later I am almost fully recovered with very few side effects.
The biggest after affect I deal with is light bladder leakage.
When Depend contacted us about curating a post for them about their Drop Your Pants for Underwareness! campaign I was very excited. The bladder leakage I contend with does not need the aid of Depend right now but I do not think it is something to be embarrassed about.
I am in good company.
• More people with bladder leakage are in their 20’s than their 80’s
• The average age of someone with bladder leakage is only 52!
• More people with bladder leakage are 50 or younger than 60 or older!
Not only is the Drop Your Pants for Underwareness creating awareness for this very common condition but Depend is putting their money where their mouth is so to speak. Depend will be donate $1, up to $3 million, over the next three years to charities that advance the research, education and awareness of bladder leakage for:
-Every pant drop, photo and video shared Using #Underwareness and #DropYourPants; and
-Every personal video made about what Underwareness means to you that is uploaded to YouTube and tagged #Underwareness and #DropYourPants
If you make a video please link to it below I would love to see it.
