Trying to get dinner on the table, during the summer months is harder than I ever thought, so I came up with a plan how to make dinner easier.

I decided to take a step back and reevaluate what I am doing and how I am preparing meals.

Am I making this process harder on myself than it needs to be?

For all moms and dads out there, here are some tips on how to make dinner easier.

Have a Plan in Mind

Sometimes having a plan in mind can make all the difference in the world.

Some would call this a meal plan, but really, I usually just try to have an idea of what I will make for dinner.

I don’t want dinner to be complex and difficult, I need to make it easy.

So my first step is to thaw our protein, or in this case meat, earlier in the morning, instead of waiting until the last minute.

Have the Family Help

Another way to make dinner easier and fun is to have the whole family help.

Everyone in the family can play a part in making dinner.

So simple your toddler can be your little helper. Older children can help make sides.

Your hubby can keep the kids occupied or vice versa. Get the whole family involved as much or as little as you’d like.

I know sometimes I get things done much faster, when my family isn’t involved. 🙂

Keep it Simple

I can tell you that the key to making dinner easy is to keep it simple.

I have never been a sous chef in the kitchen.

If I’m not stressed, then dinner is going to turn out better for everyone.

I always serve my family a main dish with two sides.

Usually it’s a meat for the main course and sides may include a veggie, rice, pasta, or something of this nature.

I have a Dinner Hero

What’s a dinner hero?

You know, that one item that saves the day and makes everyone happy. We picked the Fiesta Taco cooking kit and it is Awesome!!

You can literally have a healthy dinner on the table in less than 30 minutes with the help of Revolution Foods.

By adding a protein, you’re creating a delicious and yummy meal in just minutes, which is my kind of cooking.

Follow these steps to have dinner on the table in no time.

  • First, cook the grain blend,
  • Second, saute your protein. Once thoroughly cooked, add a punch of flavor with our Hero sauce packet and spices,
  • Third, spoon into four bowls and serve with a side of your favorite veggies.

You can add any protein to the flavors, which include Sesame Garlic, Coconut Curry, Smoky Tomato and Fiesta Taco.

Serving a hot and healthy meal, that your family loves, just got a whole lot easier.

The kids and adults in our family love all the flavors offered from Revolution Foods.

It’s so easy, but you don’t have to worry about artificial flavors or colors.

You get over 40 grams of whole grains, which is perfect for my family in every way.
