Homemade Mothers Day Facials

You only need a few things: Boiling water, facial cleanser, a face cloth or an exfoliant (such as St. Ives Apricot Scrub!), an egg, extra virgin olive oil, and honey.

Now it’s time for the fun stuff. Making your very own Homemade Mothers Day Facials!

Make your Facial Mask

You will want to make your homemade facial mask mix first.

Crack your egg into a bowl making sure to only use the egg whites.

Add 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil and a tablespoon of honey and mix it all together.

It’s that easy!

Prepare the Towel

Take the boiling water and pour it into a plugged sink.

Take a towel and place it over your head and over the sink so the steam can’t escape.

Stay under the towel for 5 minutes.

The steam will open your pores making it easier to clean your face so your homemade facial mask will have the best results.

Wash your Face

Wash your face with your facial cleanser.

Remove the Facial Cleanser

Wet your facecloth with warm water and rub your face with the cloth to get the facial cleanser off.

If you have sensitive skin, I do not advise using a facecloth.

Instead, rinse the facial cleanser off and use a facial exfoliant for sensitive skin.

Make sure it is for sensitive skin!

Apply Facial Mask

Take your homemade facial mask mix and put it on your face making sure to keep it away from your eyes.

I use paper towel to put the mix on my face by dipping it in and rubbing it over my face.

If you have a marinade brush you can use that as well.

Let the mixture sit on your face for 15 minutes.

Remove the Mixture

Wash the mixture off with warm water.

Once the homemade facial mask is off, once again wash your face with your facial cleanser.

Enjoy the Results

Voila! You’ve made and used your very own homemade facial mask.

Your face will be clean, smoother, and look healthier!

Repeat this every 2 weeks for the best results.

Hope you loved your homemade facial mask as much as I do!
