Beef with Broccoli Bowls – I’ve got another quick and easy dinner idea for you all today!
This Beef with Broccoli recipe will rival your favorite local Chinese takeout location!
Quick, easy, and delicious – this meal is an ideal weeknight meal for busy moms.
These Beef with Broccoli bowls take about 30 minutes to make, and they have great flavour.
I use a prepackaged beef and broccoli sauce mix (to save time), but feel free to use a fresh sauce if you would like.
Those little semi-homemade steps make managing it much easier on a busy evening.
My husband and I love the crunchy broccoli, and my kids love the beef and sauce.
It’s a great dish to get a load of veggies in one sitting.
If your kids don’t like broccoli, you can easily substitute another vegetable they enjoy, like sugar snap peas, carrots, or even tons of sweet bell peppers.

Beef With Broccoli Bowls
What you will need:
- 1 lb of stir fry beef (can be found in the beef section)
- 3 cups broccoli florets; cut into bite-sized pieces.
- 1 medium onion; sliced thin
- 1 package of Broccoli stir fry seasoning mix (can be found in the International section)
- 1 cup of water
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- rice or noodles to serve
Add oil to a large frying pan or Wok and brown the beef over medium-high heat. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
This usually takes 2-4 minutes, depending on the amount of meat and how thinly you slice it.
This isn’t to cook through, but just to brown.
Add the veggies to the frying pan and stir fry for 5 – 7 minutes.
Some vegetables may take longer to cook, so your cooking time may vary slightly if you use something other than broccoli.
Mix the seasoning mix, water, and soy sauce. Add to veggies.
Add the meat back in and stir to coat everything.
Let the meat mixture and sauce simmer for approximately 5 minutes, until it thickens and the veggies are perfectly cooked.
Serve over rice or noodles, and enjoy!
If you are on a low-carbohydrate diet, you can use shirataki noodles or no noodles for this dish.
Just increase the amount of vegetables you cook, so it is a hearty meal for everyone.
Beef with Broccoli Bowls Recipe
There you have it – another 30-minute meal for those crazy nights!
This one is family and kid-friendly, easy, and even perfect for those inexpensive cuts of beef since how you slice the meat can make it much more tender.
For an even tastier experience, leave our beef sliced and in the marinade for a few hours before cooking.
If you are not a fan of beef, you could always use chicken – or even tofu.
And feel free to add more veggies if you’d like.
I think some diced peppers would be a fabulous addition to this meal.
