Easy Creamy Garlic Parmesan Brussel Sprouts

 

Brussels sprouts are not one of my go-to vegetables but with this a-maze-ing and easy creamy garlic Parmesan Brussels sprouts recipe your whole family will be converted.

Since this recipe is made in a casserole dish it is also the perfect side to bring to a potluck. 

Easy Creamy Garlic Parmesan Brussels Sprouts Recipe

Ingredients

1lb bag frozen Brussels sprouts, defrosted

1 tablespoon butter

1 tablespoon all purpose flour

1 cup milk or cream

1 teaspoon minced garlic

1/4 cup Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup bread crumbs

1 tablespoon butter

Salt & Pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350
  2. Grease a casserole dish with butter or cooking spray. Add Brussels sprouts.
  3. In a small sauce pan over medium heat, melt the butter and add the flour.
  4. Stir until flour is cooked out and smooth.
  5. Increase heat to medium high and add the milk, garlic and a pinch of salt & pepper.
  6. Bring to a boil, sauce will start to thicken. Remove from heat.
  7. Stir in the Parmesan cheese. Pour the garlic Parmesan sauce over the Brussels sprouts.
  8. Melt the remaining tablespoon of butter and mix with bread crumbs.
  9. Evenly distribute the bread crumbs over the top and bake covered for 20 minutes.
  10. Remove cover, top with mozzarella, cook 15 minutes uncovered.
