Soak up the Summer

Listen, back to school is going to be here quickly, but don’t worry your days away. Soak up the summer while you can.

I mean, don’t we all live for summer break? Life is care free and schedule free.

I say, live it up and have as much fun as possible.

There will be no regrets when it’s time for school to start back up.

Start Easing the Kids into their New Schedule

Listen, no kid likes to be abruptly thrown into a new schedule.

When it comes down to starting school up again,

I always start our new routine a few weeks before.

I say “easing” into it because starting a new routine is always hard on the whole family.

Saying goodbye to those ten o’clock bedtimes are o-so-hard.

Make Meals Super Easy

Now these are practical Back to School Tips Every Parent Needs.

No one expects you to be super mom and dad and spend all your time in the kitchen.

Back to school meals should be easy.

I am one of those moms that will without a doubt make cooking super easy year-round.

I have an awesome recipe to share with you all. It includes using Smithfield Marinated Fresh Pork.

This pork already comes marinated and can be cooked in 30 minutes or less.

Now, this is my type of back to school cooking.

I love to pick mine up at my local Kroger, they have it right in their meat section and it is super easy to find.

Your whole family will get real flavor, real fast.

Smithfield Marinated Fresh Pork allows you to have a hassle-free back to school cooking experience.

They’ve done the slow-marinating and seasoning for you, to make it just right. I don’t know about you, but I’m so thankful for tasty, juicy, easy to cook pork.

Now for the yummy recipe I’m sharing with you all. It’s so simple, but so delicious.

Ingredients

  • 1 Smithfield Marinated Fresh Pork of choice, we used the Roasted Garlic & Herb Fresh Pork Tenderloin

  • 2 large Tomatoes
  • 1 Container of Mushrooms
  • 2 Large Red Onions
  • 2 Summer Squash
  • 1 Zucchini

Step One:

Light the grill and let it warm up. Open up the package of Smithfield Marinated Fresh Pork. Simply place the whole pork on the grill.

You will want to turn the grill down to a medium heat, so it doesn’t cook too fast.

Step Two:

Chop up all the veggies and place on skewers as you’d like them. I added salt and pepper to our veggies for a little bit of a taste.

Step Three:

About 10 minutes before the Smithfield Marinated Fresh Pork is done, you can add the Veggie Skewers to the grill.

They cook quickly, so keep an eye out.

Keep in mind that cooking times may vary based on the size Smithfield Marinated Fresh Pork that you purchased.

However, I had a large marinated pork and it cooked within 30 minutes. I kept turning it over to help keep the flavor intact.

Don’t forget to shop at Kroger and you can get all flavors available in Loin Filets, Sirloin, or Tenderloin cuts:

  • Roasted Garlic & Herb Fresh Pork Tenderloin
  • Roasted Garlic & Cracked Black Pepper Tenderloin
  • Slow Smoked Mesquite Flavor Fresh Pork Loin Filet
  • Roasted Garlic & Cracked Black Pepper Sirloin
