And one thing that will bring you much more peace of mind is knowing that your home is ready to take on your newborn.

In this article, discover 3 ways to make home life easier for when you have your little one.

One of the number one steps to welcoming a baby home is making sure their first-ever bedroom is utterly perfect!

The best way to get started is by choosing a theme.

This can literally range from a color such as terracotta to an animal, like cute, fluffy lambs!

Once you’re fixed on a theme, you can go as mad as you like looking in stores or online for any accessories that would fit perfectly!

What I do recommend is keeping things as simple as possible as over time, their toys and clothes will be enough to organize in the room.

So as little clutter as possible.

If you want a strong statement to really show off the theme, choose a custom-made childrens wallpaper.

Available at Wallsauce, these fun and adorable wallpapers are so simple to install and quickly make a lasting impression.

Clear out and deep clean rooms

One of the most important factors in getting the home ready for baby is making sure your home is lovely and clean.

After all, this is just a natural part of nesting, isn’t it?

Before you do any cleaning, you need to clear out any clutter to make the job easier.

This is a good job to do when you’re earlier on in the pregnancy but we still stress to do no heavy lifting.

Simply work through the entire house by focusing on certain items at a time.

Firstly, clothing followed by paper then unnecessary clutter or unloved ornaments.

Donate items you don’t want.

This process could prove incredibly handy if you are trying to clear out a spare room to make into your baby’s nursery.

Next, deep-cleaning.

We assume you will be doing this not long before baby’s arrival, and because of this, you need to delegate not do it in order to rest.

Ask kind family and friends to help you get your home ready by deep-cleaning the carpet, mopping, dusting in those high-up, forgotten spaces and more.

Baby-proof windows and doors

Although not of immediate importance, it’s good to make sure your home is toddler-proof too by baby-proofing all the windows and doors.

We recommend doing this sooner rather than later because by the time they can walk, you won’t have a lot of time to do this as you will be watching them constantly!

One of the biggest danger hazards in a little person’s home is blind cords.

Unfortunately, children can accidentally strangle themselves on these. Instead choose cordless ones or others that are motorized.

If you can’t afford new ones, make sure you choose safe tiebacks and always make sure that the cords are wrapped away.
