Musicals With Mama! My Top 12 Family Friendly Musicals #streamteam

I have to admit that I’ve always had a secret love for Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and I’ve always wanted to share my love for this movie with my kids Well, I was going through some of Netflix’s “musicals” and came across “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.” (I mean let’s admit that once that song gets in your head it’s not getting out). I’ll even promise on the donut I ate this morning that it’s catchier than “Let it Go.”

Down Time With Mama

So anyways, I decided the kids and I just needed some downtime, so I decided to turn on Netflix and watch my favorite childhood movie with them. I’m not going to lie; they loved every minute of it.

You have to appreciate, as a parent, a movie that you loved as a child and that your kids can love as well. Surprisingly enough, I still knew all of the songs. There are a lot of not so great kid movies out there these days, so I was thrilled to remember this move, find it on Netflix, and be able to share with my children. Maybe someday they will carry on the tradition?

Imagination at Work

Okay and you totally know how little ones go, something always stems from watching a movie. One of my kids decided to grab a leftover box, pretend it was a car, and we drove through several places singing songs from the movie we just watched. I love how the imagination of a child really knows no limit. I have to admit that I enjoyed this little impromptu cardboard ride through my house.
