4 Ways to Make a Children’s Party Memorable

If Pin the Tail on the Donkey, pinatas, and other common children’s birthday party ideas are getting old so check out these 4 Ways to Make a Children’s Party Memorable.

You might want to switch things up this year with something a bit more unique.

Surprisingly, it can even benefit them as they grow into adults.

As The Center on the Developing Child at Harvard University noted, when a child’s experiences are comprised of events where they’re being celebrated, they’ll be more likely to have a higher level of self-esteem.

There are many different ways to host a much more memorable party, including these fun options.

An Animal Party

Remember the birthday party that got Robin Williams in trouble in the movie “Mrs. Doubtfire?”

Depending on the area in which you live, you may be able to host your own minus the chaos, but with all the fun and excitement of booking an animal party.

Many companies are offering this hands-on experience that won’t soon be forgotten, available across the country and beyond.

Typically, the party comes to you and includes several different animals like rabbits, lizards, ducks, birds, goats, sheep, and even donkeys.

Guests can enjoy close encounters along with education about the animals. Safety instruction and clean-up are usually provided too.

Cartoon Character-Inspired Party

Does your child have a favorite cartoon character?

If so, this idea is sure to be a big hit.

You might recall that in 2017, Jessica Simpson threw her son a Moana-inspired party that included a Maui lookalike, reported in People magazine at the time.

The good news is that you don’t have to be rich and famous to do the same for your child, as party characters for hire are available via an app, making this option more readily available to all.

Think anything from Spider-Man to Princess characters, with activities like magic, games, storytelling, face painting, singing, and dancing.

A Dance Party

Older kids may be less interested in costumed entertainers and want something a bit more grown-up.

That’s when a kid’s party DJ can be ideal.

They’ll get everyone up on the dance floor having a good time – and some may also provide things like dance move activities too.

You can help set the scene by adding a disco ball with flashing lights and stringing mini-lights around the room.

Get the guests ready to dance by setting up several spots where they can have hair glitter sprayed on or get highlights sprayed in neon colors.

Add feather boas, glow in the dark necklaces, or Mardi Gras beads to complete the look.

An Artsy Party

Bring out everyone’s creativity!

An artsy party has a long list of options like jewelry making parties, pottery painting, or decorating.

Perhaps even painting their own treasure chest, filled with party favors, of course.

Younger children will especially enjoy sculpting playdough.

Give each child a small can and tell them to sculpt something related to birthday parties like a balloon, birthday cake, or a candle.
