I have made it no secret that since I began blogging in 2012, there has been one product that I really wanted to get my hands on.
A Dyson. After over 3 years, I finally got my wish when I was chosen to host a Dyson Power Cleaners Party for my family and friends with PTPA Media.
Along with great food and some fun games, I shared what I thought were 5 very important features of the Dyson V6 Absolute with my attendees, and I will share the same with all of you.
The V6 Absolute is hand-held and light-weight
I have had this vacuum for a few weeks and have only been allowed to use it a few times. As soon as I turn it on, one of my kids takes over. Even my 3-year-old can manoeuver it around with ease. This also allows it to easily do my stairs (something my previous vacuum could not do easily, or well).
It is cordless
About 3 years ago I moved to a larger house. This came with many benefits (I could grow our family through fostering, my oldest son got his own room, etc), but it also came with one huge challenge. Keeping it clean. When I vacuum, it is not unusual that I have to plug and unplug 2-3 times. More when one of my toddler decides to play the ‘unplug’ game.
The accessories leave nothing to be desired
When I first received the vacuum, I noticed my husband grabbing our old upright. I reminded him of the new Dyson and he replied “but does it have one of these?” holding up a crevice too. Yes, yes it does. It comes with two full size roller heads, one for hard floors and one for carpets, a crevice tool, a dust brush, a nylon brush for pet hair and a combination tool.
Technology and Suction Power
The name Dyson resonated with my party attendees as being known for their technology and sucking power. We all remember the TV commercials talking about them ‘never losing their suction’. Right up until the battery dies, the vacuum works at full power. It can suck up coffee grounds, cheerios and even ribbon, without any difficulty.
The last of my favourite features is the HEPA filter. If you are a family with allergies or asthma, like us, this is likely an important feature for you when you are shopping for a vacuum. The filter comes out to be washed once a month and should never need to be replaced with normal domestic use.
If you are considering getting a Dyson, I highly recommend them. They are backed with a 2 year warranty and have experts on hand to help you with your purchase. Be sure to visit Dyson Canada’s website and check them out on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and they have a great number of resource videos on Youtube.
This post was made possible by Dyson and PTPA Media. I was provided the vacuum for the purpose of my party, along with compensation. All thoughts are my own.
A Dyson is always on my husband’s wish list. With the kids’ allergies, I don’t know why we don’t own one yet.
That looks like it would be a great present for my mom for Christmas because it is so lightweight and easy to handle. Plus, since it is a Dyson I know it will be powerful.
I have wanted a Dyson for YEARS. My boys are super messy, so I could use use one of these.
If anyone can challenge that 2-year warranty, it’s me. I am so hard on vacuums for some reason. I’ll give it a try though!
You don’t have to convince me. Dyson is the ONLY brand of vacuum cleaner I’ll have in my house. We have 2 uprights and I bought this one right when we moved in. Since the house is a decent combination of carpet and hardwood, it’s PERFECT.
I love my roomba, but it’s not perfect, and sometimes I need an actual vacuum, but that cord is so annoying! Hmm, maybe I need to put in a request to santa. I’m one of those people who actually LOVES practical gifts. 😉
I own a dyson and love it – this one looks pretty neat with all the extra tools!
We are a Dyson family, I love the vacuums! This is great that it does big debris too, I need that with messy kids!
I love Dyson vaccums. I use to work in a daycare, and we had a vaccum similar to this one to clean the carpet at the end of our shift, and I loved it!
This would be a good option for my upstairs, as I hate dragging my other vacuum up. Nice that kids want to use it for you.
We have a Dyson and it is SO AWESOME!!
I personally believe from my three years experience that Dyson is the best solution for home cleaning. No doubt about its performance. Day by day Dyson is going to be more popular to the customer for their extraordinary performance that customer expect. Wish its best future.
