Watermelon Lime Slush Recipe

Watermelon Lime Slushy Recipe

Nothing reminds me of summer like a fresh slice of watermelon!

So, what better way to cool off on a hot summer day than with a delicious Watermelon Lime Slush! This recipe is quick and easy, too!

Interesting fact, In the 7th century, watermelons were being cultivated in India, and by the 10th century had reached China, which is today the world’s single largest watermelon producer. Moorish invaders introduced the fruit into Europe and there is evidence of it being cultivated in Córdoba in 961 and also in Seville in 1158. It spread northwards through southern Europe, perhaps limited in its advance by summer temperatures being insufficient for good yields. The fruit had begun appearing in European herbals by 1600, and was widely planted in Europe in the 17th century as a minor garden crop. Source Wikipedia.

You only need a few simple ingredients:

4 cups of cubed, seedless watermelon

10 ice cubes (I actually ended up using 25 because the mixture wasn’t thick enough for me with only 10)

1/3 cup lime juice

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1/8 teaspoon salt

Directions

Place watermelon and ice into a blender.

Pour in lime juice, sugar, and salt.

Blend until smooth.
