As we say goodbye to beaches, water parks, and bikinis, we can say hello to hay rides, harvest scents, and pumpkin spice lattes.
Time to transition your Summer wardrobe into Fall Fashion!
Summer is over and it’s time that we embrace the change.
For those of you that live where there are actual seasons, you know that it is a sad day when you have to put away your favorite summer outfits.
It doesn’t have to happen that way though.
I am all about transitioning my seasonal looks, so they can last as long as possible.
You can transition your summer wardrobe into fall fashion just by adding a few of your favorite pieces.
Below are a few of my favorite transitional pieces.
I hope that this helps you to make those summer dresses and tank tops last a little bit longer.

Transition Your Summer Wardrobe Into Fall Fashion
Light Scarves
Boots
You can totally pull off a summer dress with some cute boots!
I think a lot of us are only comfortable pairing heels or sandals with a dress, but boots are super cute too.
You wear boots with jeans, leggings, or dresses!
Whether they are angle boots or knee-high boots, they will fit right into the new season.
Leggings
Okay, I wear leggings all year, but Fall is the best time for them.
If it’s too cold to walk around in the short dress, pair it with some solid leggings.
Not ever dress will look okay with leggings, but most of them will be cute.
You can even wear leggings under those ripped jeans or short shorts.
If you accessorize right, it will be a look to remember! My go-to fall look is a pair of leggings, an over
sized sweater, and knee high boots!
Jackets
You can add a fashionable jacket to any summer look at it be appropriate for the season.
Throw a jacket over that sleeveless dress or tank top and you will look and feel great.
A black, brown, or tan jacket will go with just about everything.
If it’s too hot for a jacket, then a cardigan is a great option!
Matching Accessories
Match your accessories with a pop of color to finish your look off.
Since summer is ending, you can pull off something bright like a teal color.
If you’d rather not, you can match the accessories to your jacket, boots, and bag.
Also, I like to carry big bags in Fall.
There’s something about fall that makes me want to wear larger shirts, taller boots, and bigger bags. haha.
Fall fashion is on the rise and I hope you’re making the best out of it!
This was one of my favorite topics to revisit the beginning of each fall season. For me I have staple items that are easy to transition from summer to fall. Strappy sundresses can be worn over leggings with a crochet bolero or cropped jacket. Wear colored, opaque tights with your solid colored shorts and pair of ankle boots. My favorite is the wear a blazer with my tank tops and cropped pants.(easy style anyone can pull off).
Girl, your transitional ideas are awesome! I love the idea of shorts with leggings. I’ve always wanted to do this, but I’ve never felt bold enough.
I completely agree with you! Fall is the best time for leggings, long shirts, light jackets, scarves, and light sweaters. It gets a bit too cold for all this during winter times.. and the heavy jackets end up covering all the lovely clothing. BTW, You look great in this outfit.
Thanks for reading! Thank you. I love my outfit in that photo. I also love all of these little things in Fall. It’s such beautiful season because you can squeeze in a little bit of everything 🙂
Those boots you are wearing are fabulous. I agree with how you can transition from summer to fall with just the right accessories. it’s not that hard and can really look wonderful. Great post!
Thanks so much for your comment! I think every woman could take advantage of these tips. We all have our own creative styles. Sometimes, we just need a little push!
