Getting pregnant is not always easy. It wasn’t for me the first time either. We were on the IVF path and it felt cold, sterile and alone. We were poked, prodded and investigated. Our finances were looked at under a microscope, and even with medical coverage the cost is a huge weight to bear. We were looking for the perfect at-home solution for conception.
I sure wish I had known of another option.
Looking Back
Fast forward eight years (and 3 biological kids). The Stork® was approved by Health Canada in 2013. It provides help for couples trying to conceive, and keeps the assistance within the comfort of their own homes. I cannot tell you how much I wished I hadn’t had to spend hours driving, waiting for tests and appointments and exposing myself for investigation.
The Stork® Technique
The technique The Stork® uses is not new. It works through placing the sperm right at the opening of the cervix to maximize success. This is called Cervical Cap Insertion, which holds about a 20% success rating. This is close to the average for Intrauterine Insemination, or IUI. The success rate for IUI is about 16-20%. This is done with the assistance of a physician.
If you are beginning a battle with conception, why not take matters in your own hands? The Stork® is not only more comfortable, the cost is reasonable. When we were looking towards IVF, it was looking like our costs would be around $10000. We still call our son (who was eventually conceived without IVF) to be our $10000 baby. It is also DRUG FREE, which is always the best option.
The Stork® is offering a$500 gift card to one lucky Canadian! Enter here.
Disclosure: I am part of The Stork at-home conception aid campaign with Influence Central and I receive special perks as part of my affiliation with this group. The opinions on this blog are my own.
Are you interested in trying The Stork to help you conceive? We have a great giveaway to win one! Feel free to enter to win on other blogs, but you are only eligible to win once. Open to residents of Canada over the age of majority, excluding Quebec. Prize will arrive within 4-6 weeks.
It’s really amazing that couples have this option now! So much better than the cold, sterile experience many women experience.
I do appreciate that The Stork has a desire to help families struggling to conceive; the desire for a biological child is real and natural. However, I can’t ignore the many ethical issues that come into play with conception methods like this which divorce the whole process from the conjugal act. There are ethical alternatives out there.
Would love to be able to try this
I love the reliability of stork, So many options, great products !
I might try this next cycle.
Been trying for 8 years
