It is that time of the year. The weather is changing and Spring is upon us. That means new outfits, outdoor events, parties, and a new hair routine! I love Spring. I really do. It’s a great time to visit with family and to enjoy the great outdoors. As much as I enjoy it, my hair does not. Spring weather can be very unpredictable. With unpredictable weather comes bad hair days.
I may not have a fix for every bad hair day, but I will give you some tips on how to control your hair according to the weather. I hope that I save your hair this Spring!
A Rainy Spring Day
Rain and hair do not mesh well together. Nope, not one bit. Check the weather. If you find out it is going to rain, plan for it. My number one suggestion would be to plan for an updo. Put your hair in a nice bun or a ponytail. Spray some hairspray in it to keep the rain from ruining it. A good hairspray will prevent frizz, even if it gets wet. This idea should prevent your hair from looking like a frizzy mess.
A Humid Spring Day
Humidity will kill a good hair day if you are not prepared for it. If you take a morning shower rinse your hair with cold water at the very end. The cool water flattens your hair, while hot water lifts and curls it (thank you to my hairdresser cousin for this tip). Then, find a good nourishing frizz serum for your hair. Rub it into your palms and run it through your hair lightly. Another idea is to put your hair in a messy bun or a loose braid. These looks are great, even with a little frizz.
A Sunny Spring Day
This is the day that we all hope for A bright sunny Spring day that we can enjoy outdoors. Your options are open for a day like this, but still remember a few things. Be sure your hair is nourished. Add Argan or Morroccan oil before going on or even a heat-protection serum. This will help your hair from getting too dried out for damaged from the sun. I also love seeing cute French braids in the Spring. They keep you cool and keep your hair out of your face while you are enjoying outdoor activities!
