The last time I visited the dentist was in 2012. I was heavily pregnant with my 4th child and it was an uncomfortable experience, as are most during that point in pregnancy.
During the visit the hygenist was very negative. I have always brushed twice a day, but flossing is more difficult. However, at age 30, I had still never had a cavity. Throughout the visit, I was told how to improve and felt very ashamed leaving the office.
Due to this bad experience I was very reluctant to return. Although it is recommended to see the dentist every six months, I have still not returned. Each time I consider making an appointment I convince myself to spend the next 2-3 weeks brushing and flossing diligently and then make the call. As you can imagine, this procrastination has led to 3 years without returning for a cleaning.
Now, just over 2 weeks later, I have made an appointment to return to the dentist!
Results in my Gum Health
Sonicare stated that I should see results in my gum health in just two weeks. I am thrilled to say that I have. A few changes I have noticed:
- Every time I brush it feels as though I have just been to the dentist for a cleaning
- My gums appear healthier
- My gums are no longer bleeding after flossing
- My teeth appear whiter
I also have a strange excitement to brush. It’s silly, I know, but there is something about it that just seems fun. I also love feeling like I am accomplishing something.
Ease of Charging
One of my favourite parts about the DiamondClean is the ease of charging. To charge, I just simply place it in the cup (or on the stand) and it charges. It also holds a charge for up to 3 weeks.
Another interesting feature is their Easy-Start feature. This feature slowly increases intensity over the first 14 sessions to prevent irritation. I have not experienced any pain or increased swelling or bleeding since beginning with the brush. This is an amazing feature!
My experience has been nothing short of amazing and I definitely recommend this toothbrush. You know that here at TOTS, we pride ourselves in honest reviews. For this review, I can honestly say I have nothing negative to say.
This power toothbrush retails for $229.99. and is available at major retailers.
This post was made possible thanks to Philips Sonicare. Compensation and/or products were received in exchange for my honest post. All thoughts are my own.
