I was blessed to be able to head to Anaheim and Disneyland last month with my husband. Leaving 5 kids behind was no easy feat, mostly emotionally. But we did it. It didn’t take long to relax after arriving at our hotel, Springhill Suites Anaheim Maingate. The list of reasons I would stay at this hotel again in the future is long, but I thought I would highlight a few reasons why I think YOU should stay there on your next trip to Orange County.

Why You Should Stay At Springhill Suites Anaheim
There Is FREE Hot Breakfast.
This is my number one priority when booking a hotel, especially when travelling with the kids. All those little mouths to feed can add significantly to your travel costs. It is a hot breakfast, with eggs, WAFFLES, bacon, pastries, cereals, and the list goes on. The hot dishes seem to rotate each day, but we certainly never went hungry!
The ART System Stops Here.
If you haven’t been to Anaheim, or haven’t made use of the ART system, you are missing out on some serious convenience. Anaheim Resort Transit (ART) is a transit system that stops at many different Anaheim resorts, as well as other hot spots. There are many different lines on the system, and Springhill Suites is just two quick stops from Disneyland. The cost is $20 per adult for 5 days, unlimited usage. Children are less. From the main ‘hub’ at Disneyland, you can hop on a different line and head to dinner at The Garden Walk or to do some serious shopping at The Outlets Of Orange. The buses cycle every 20-60 minutes and we found the drivers very helpful and courteous.
The Rooms Are Actual Suites.
Our room at Springhill Suites was a spacious room with a separate seating area, a gorgeous bathroom and a quaint window seat looking out to the pool. It had a microwave, fridge and sink. We made use of the fridge most of all. It chilled water that we took with us to Disney. It also stored a few snacks we bought on the way, and some ‘adult beverages’ for the evening. We were without kids after all.
The Hotel Is Very Kid Friendly.
Although this time we were travelling without our crew, we still took note of the hotel staff and design of the hotel and how our children would be accommodated there. At the front desk was an ever-full bowl of Chupa Chups, which I have now developed a bit of an addiction too. There was ample seating in the breakfast area and it seemed that furniture and decoration were either kid friendly, or away from children. The hotel is also spotlessly clean, which I appreciate anytime, with or without kids!
The Location Is Priceless.
Just 4 minutes to Disney by ART, we could not have asked for a better location. We likely could have walked, if we weren’t anticipating a full day of walking through Disneyland and California Adventure. We were also very close to Knott’s Berry Farm and other attractions in the Orange County area. You can read about the quick trip to the beautiful Huntington Beach and the Shorebreak Hotel here.
There are many other features of the hotel I will mention briefly. There is a gym and a pool, neither of which we used this trip, however they looked lovely. The staff was kind and helpful. The price is comparable to other hotels in the area and is most families budget.
Thanks to Orange County Visitors Bureau, Allegiant Airlines and Springhill Suites for welcoming my husband and I to Anaheim! It was a once in a lifetime trip and we can’t wait to do it again with our kids! (well, kinda)

I always tell my girls breakfast is the most important meal of the day and how important it is for breakfast to include a healthy protein choice, so I love hotel with a REAL breakfast selection (eggs,etc.).
