Quick Tip: Save Your Bananas!

Save your Bananas!

Save Your Bananas!

Am I the only one who has Banana problems? I wear a T-Shirt that reads Save Your Bananas!

Seriously, sometimes it feels like I buy bananas and the next day they are turning brown (which in this house means they will be in Banana Bread soon).

So I heard this tip from another mom at preventing them from ripening too quickly.

Separate your bananas when you bring them home from the store, this will keep them from turning brown too quickly. It also makes it easy for little hands to grab a healthy snack!

Nutritional Value in Bananas

But first did you know that the Banana is an edible fruit – duh yup! In many countries, Bananas used for cooking are often called Plantains.
