This plum puff pastry tart hit all the taste buds right.
A variety of fresh ripe plums, flaky puff pastry and a simple apple glaze with a drizzle of honey to round out this sweet and tart… tart.
Plums are my favorite fruit (tied with cherries)
We had a plum tree in our backyard when I was a little girl and I could always be found out there in the Summer enjoying a plum or four.
This plum puffy pastry tart is actually quite simple to make, and is a stunning dessert with all of its bright colors.
Serve as is or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Plum Puff Pastry Tart Recipe
What you will need:
- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry; cut into two – hot dog way
- 3 cups mixed plums and or stone fruit
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. apple jelly; heated
- honey for drizzle
- powder sugar* optional
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
Place one half sheet of puff pastry to each center of the pans
Using a fork, prick a boarder about 1 1/2 inches in from the edge. Sprinkle sugar over pastry
Evenly distribute the plums within the boarder of the pastry. Overlapping is fine
Bake at 400 degrees for 20 – 23 minutes or until the puff pastry is golden brown
