If you have ever wondered what type of makeup works best for the office, look no further. One thing to keep in mind is that makeup that you wear out to the club with your gal pals on Saturday night is not considered proper office makeup. So that means the bright red lipstick and fuchsia blush is not what you should be wearing to work.

Keep it natural
While this may seem like an obvious statement, it really needs to be emphasized. There is a time and a place for the scarlet lipstick and the smoky eyes and your office is simply not that place. The look you want to aim for at work as far as your makeup is polished, natural and professional.
It’s all about the eyes
While you want to make your eyes stand out, it is important to know that there is a difference between daytime eye makeup and nighttime eye makeup. For the daytime look, use a light, natural eye shadow for your eyelids. You can opt for colors like light pink, beige or light grey. You don’t really need eyeliner for a daytime look but if you just can’t be without it, use a brown or black liner only in the corners of the eyes.
Less is more with lashes
If you already have long eyelashes you won’t need to touch your lashes for the office look. However, if you need mascara for the office, you won’t need much. Just apply one layer of mascara and you are ready to go. One piece of advice when it comes to lashes is never use fake lashes for a daytime look. Fake lashes are best for nighttime looks only.
The lips have it
Skip the bright red and orange lipsticks at the office. You can easily emphasize your lips with just clear gloss if you wanted to. If you do need lipstick, opt for colors like nude or light pink.
Don’t blush much at work
You certainly don’t want to head into the office in the morning looking like a clown. So, with that said, skip the bronzer completely and just opt for a rosy glow on your cheeks.
