Itsy Bitsy Burgers & Buns. A Delicious Dinner in Under 30 Minutes!

It’s been a long day at work, money is tight and you have no idea what to make for dinner.  If this sounds like you then try out this delicious and mouth watering Itsy Bitsy Burger and Itsy Bitsy Burger Bun recipe!  In less than a half an hour you will have home made child sized (slider) hamburgers that will put a smile on everyone’s face!

 Itsy Bitsy Burgers & Buns.  A Delicious Dinner in Under 30 Minutes!

Itsy Bitsy Burgers
1 lb lean ground beef or turkey
1/2 cup finely shredded cheddar cheese
2tbspn ketchup or bbq sauce
1/2 tspn salt

Mix all of the ingredients together well.
Roll into balls then flatten into circles the size of your buns, about a 2″ diameter.
To Pan fry: Place large pan over med-high heat.  Arrange as many Itsy Bitsy burgers in the pan as will fit without crowding.  Cook, turn over once, for 2-3 mins per side, until browned and no longer pink inside.

to Bake: Preheat oven to 400*.  Arrange bity burgers on a lightly greased cookie sheet and bake, turning once, for 15-20 mins, or until sizzling and no longer pink inside.
Makes 8-10

Serve on Itsy Bitsy Burger Buns!

Itsy Bitsy Burger Buns
2 1/2 cup all purpose flour + a bit if needed
2 tspn baking powder
1 tspn baking soda
1/2 tspn salt
1 cup milk
1 egg
6 tbspns mayonnaise

1 egg, beaten
2 tbspns sesame seeds

Preheat over to 375*
Med. mixing bowl , stir together flour, baking powder, and salt.
Add milk and mayonnaise, stir with a fork until everything is combined and it forms a sticky, soft dough that can be handled.  Don’t over mix, it’s better a bit lumpy than over worked!
Pull off about 2 tbspns of dough at a time.  Dust with flour and roll into a ball., then flatten to a circle 2″ wide and 1/2″ thick.

Arrange dough circles on ungreased cookie sheet, leave a bit of room for expansion.
Brush lightly with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake for 18-20 mins, or until puffed and light brown.
Cool for at least 10 mins before cutting in half.

Makes about 16
