It’s late, you just got home, you still have homework to get through and you haven’t even thought about dinner but have been thinking about Homemade Teriyaki Sauce.

Like so many parents I find myself in this situation and this is my go-to recipe to take any meat, potato or veggie meal idea to new heights!

Rich in flavor, easy to make and it only requires a few ingredients that most have in their pantry and fridge!

Teriyaki Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:

1/4 cup soya sauce
1 cup water
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
5 tablespoons packed brown sugar
1  tablespoon honey
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 cup cold water

Directions:

In a saucepan on medium heat, add the soya sauce, water, seasonings, sugar and honey and mix well.

In a cup mix the cold water and cornstarch.  Slowly incorporate it into the sauce mixture, stirring constantly.

Heat until it reaches your desired thickness, about five minutes to make the perfect sauce!

This sauce is a great for marinating your meat in, or for on top of your stir frys!

Add a drizzle onto your potato or use as a dipping sauce.

This recipe is so delicious and versatile you’ll find yourself reaching for it all the time!

Keep in the fridge in a sealed container for up to 3 weeks!
