With winter well on it’s way, warm yourself and your family up with a bowl of hearty bean chili. This hearty and easy bean chili is made with slow cooked ground beef, three different types of beans, tomatoes and chilies. Spiced up with some hot sauce, chow down on a bowl of chili that is hearty and healthy.
Hearty And Easy Bean Chili Recipe
Whip up a batch of corn bread and enjoy dinner!
What you will need:
- 1 lbs lean ground beef
- 1 can [easyazon_link identifier=”B007TJN1ZG” locale=”US” tag=”totsfamily-20″]breakfast beans[/easyazon_link](pork’n’beans)
- 1 [easyazon_link identifier=”B000LKVTCW” locale=”US” tag=”totsfamily-20″]can lentils[/easyazon_link]
- 1 [easyazon_link identifier=”B00CKYSZYC” locale=”US” tag=”totsfamily-20″]can black beans[/easyazon_link]
- 3 cans [easyazon_link identifier=”B000QJ8TOO” locale=”US” tag=”totsfamily-20″]diced tomatoes with green chilies[/easyazon_link]
- 1 medium onion; diced
- 1 large zucchini; grated
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 2 tsp. [easyazon_link identifier=”B004Z7FUT0″ locale=”US” tag=”totsfamily-20″]Franks Hot Sauce[/easyazon_link]
In a large pot, brown the ground beef, seasoning with salt and pepper. Add in the onions and continue to cook.
Rinse the lentils and black beans under cold water. Add to the meat mixture as well as the can of breakfast beans.
Stir in the diced tomatoes, chili powder and Franks.
Simmer on low for 1 hour. Taste for seasoning and serve.
Add on’s: sour cream, cheddar cheese.. more Franks.
Enjoy.
