It is so hard to believe that it is already almost December.
Christmas will be here before you know it! It’s time to start thinking about decorating for the holidays.
I came across a super cute Gingerbread Christmas Ornaments (I can’t remember where, so please forgive me), and I adapted it to share with you all!
DIY Foam Gingerbread Christmas Ornaments
Here’s what you need to get started:
Foam stickers/ornaments
Seasonal cupcake liners (I chose large & mini, but you could just use the large size)
Glue (craft glue or hot glue)
String
Glitter glue
I found some super cute gingerbread ornament kits at Michael’s.
However, you can use any foam stickers or even make your own.
You had to put the gingerbread boy and girl together, but it was very easy and quick.
Next, you glue the ornaments to the cupcake liners.
I got my cupcake liners at The Dollar Tree.
Make sure the liners are really flat so that they don’t curl up on you.
I used hot glue, but you can use any type of craft glue or glue stick.
I added Stickles glitter to the cupcake liners for some extra “bling.”
You can get Stickles at Michael’s, Jo-Ann, online, probably a ton of places.
The gingerbread boy and girl had glitter on them, and I thought it would be really cute to add some more.
Glitter seems to be everywhere at Christmas, so it just seemed to fit.
Make sure to let the glitter dry at least 20 minutes or so.
Once the glitter dries, you can add your string. I used the gold string that came with the kit. You can pretty much use anything.
And that’s it! These are so quick and easy and you can do them with your kids.
They would make adorable teacher’s gifts, ornaments, gift tags, etc.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this DIY craft!
I have included a brief video below to help explain how to put the ornaments together!
Happy Holidays and I’d love to hear your comments!
