Although, you may enjoy this tasty dish, you may not know where they came from.
Deviled eggs can be found all over the world.
They are taken to potlucks and picnics, people just can’t get enough of them.
The term deviled didn’t just show up, it’s actually been around since 1786.
The dishes from this time period that used the term deviled were regarded as a boiled or fried dish.
Nowadays, deviled eggs are considered a pretty healthy dish, depending on how they’re prepared.
What’s in Deviled Eggs?
You may be wondering what’s even in a deviled egg that makes it so delicious?
I’m here to tell you that there aren’t fancy ingredients in deviled eggs, especially Easter Deviled Eggs.
You’re looking at the ingredient list of boiled eggs, mustard, mayo, and seasoning.
Depending on who you are, you may make deviled eggs in a variety of ways.
Are Deviled Eggs good for you?
In most cases, devilled eggs can be considered a healthy dish.
Although, too much of a good thing is never a good thing.
It’s safe to say that at a holiday get together, like Easter, these eggs will be one of the healthiest dishes there.
Another reason I can appreciate making Easter Deviled Eggs is that you can make them ahead of time.
You can make deviled eggs up to 3 to 4 days in advance.
So, if you have other things to make the day of Easter, you can plan on making these ahead of time.

I like when things are simple and these eggs sure do make life a little easier around the holidays.
Does your family make deviled eggs for the holidays?
Ingredients:
- 6 Hard Boiled Eggs
- 6 teaspoons White Vinegar
- Food Coloring
- 1/3 Cup Mayonnaise
- 2 tsp. Mustard
- 2 tsp. Sugar
- Paprika
Directions:
- Peel eggs and cut in half lengthwise.
- Remove yolks and set aside in a bowl.
- In small bowls, mix about 1/2 cup water, 1 tsp. vinegar, and 1-2 drops of food coloring.
- Set both halves of each egg into each separate bowl of colored water for 20-30 minutes or desired color is reached and remove.
- To your bowl of yolks, add the mayonnaise, mustard, and sugar and mix well.
- Using a piping bag or a spoon, fill the eggs with the yolk mixture.
- Sprinkle a dash of paprika on each egg.
- Enjoy!
