About Us And Our Authors

Being a parent is never easy! We are parents ourselves and know exactly what it is like to deal with blow ups (and blow outs) and picky eaters (and picking noses). Our mission is to help all parents to reach their full potential with our real advice. No super moms here – just regular moms trying their best. You are not alone.

We are the owners of TOTS Network which include Thinking Outside The Sandbox and Thinking Outside The Sandbox: Family.

Cat and Katrina

On the left: My name is Cat Clutchey and I am one of the owners of the TOTS: Network. I am a nurse and a foster, adoptive and biological mother to five kids, aged 1 through 9. Including FOUR boys and a princess. My kids are active, fun and sociable, but mostly they are NOISY. We love to travel as a family and Roatan and Grand Turk are currently tied for our most desirable repeat travel destination.  My husband enjoys photography and chronicles our journeys and adventures. I am also an Autism Warrior Mom and I love to encourage and support other special needs parents, both online and offline. I hope you take some time to visit our site and get to know everything we have to offer here at TOTS.

On the right: My name is Katrina Thom. Cat and I started TOTS to provide resources to other moms. I am the proud mother to a little princess. My husband and I recently bought an old farmhouse and we are enjoying renovating it both inside and out. I am a full-time blogger who spent 10 years working in the financial industry. In my spare time, I enjoy listening to podcasts (I even have two)! I love to learn and to share this information with those around me. I look forward to getting to know you, so please don’t hesitate to leave a comment or pop us an email.

Our team of contributors is the heart and soul of TOTS Family. Without them, we would not have all of the amazing content we are able to provide you. From all over the US and Canada, we have different political views and religious affiliations, but we all agree on one thing: parenting is tough sometimes but well worth it.

We chose each and every contributor based on their own special experiences. Between us, we have 37 children and 107 years of parenting experience!

Our parenting experiences include raising babies through teens, step-children, bio kids and foster/adopted children, special needs including ADHD and Autism and single parenting.

We have really been through it all.

If you have any parenting questions you would like our team to answer or if you have a post idea please contact us.

We are a PR Friendly blog and would love to work with even more great companies. Check out our Media Kit for more details.
