The summer movie season is upon us and is the perfect time to get out of the heat and into a nice air-conditioned movie theater. This is the time of year that Hollywood brings out its best movies. Here are some of the 2015 summer movies you must see.

Avengers: Ages of Ultron

Avengers: Ages of Ultron was released on May 1, 2015, directed by Joss Wheldon and stars Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Mark Ruffalo. It is the sequel to the 2012 movie, The Avengers. In Ages of Ultron, the team must work together to defeat Ultron, who is trying to destroy the human population.

Jurassic World

Jurassic World was released on June 12, 2015, directed by Colin Trevorrow and stars Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins, Nick Robinson, Chris Pratt, Omar Sy and Vincent D’Onofrio. It is the sequel to the 1993 movie, Jurassic Park, the 1997 movie, The Lost World: Jurassic Park and the 2001 movie, Jurassic Park III. Jurassic World takes place 22 years after the events of Jurassic Park. When a new theme park is built over the original park site, things are going good until one of the park’s main attractions, a genetically modified Indominus Rex escapes and goes on a killing spree in the park.

Inside Out

Inside Out was released on June 19, 2015, directed by Pete Docter and stars the voices of Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith, Bill Hader, Mindy Kaling, Lewis Black, Richard Kind, Diane Lane and Kyle MacLachlan. Inside Out takes place inside the mind of Riley, a young girl who discovers she has five unique emotions: joy, disgust, sadness, fear and anger. These emotions go with her on her journey and she and her family move to a new town.

Pitch Perfect 2

Pitch Perfect 2 was released on May 15, 2015, directed by Elizabeth Banks and stars Elizabeth Banks, Rebel Wilson, Anna Kendrick, Skylar Astin, Hailee Steinfeld, Ben Platt, Anna Camp and Brittany Snow. It is the sequel to the 2012 film, Pitch Perfect. After the Bellas are embarrassed in front of America’s president, they are removed from the Aca-Circuit. They go on a mission to get their name cleared, trying to win an international competition that no team from America has even won before.

San Andreas

San Andreas was released on May 29, 2015, directed by Brad Peyton and stars Dwayne Johnson, Carla Gugino, Alexandra Daddario, Ioan Gruffudd, Kylie Minogue and Paul Giamatti. A Los Angeles rescue pilot makes a scary journey across California in order to save his daughter in the midst of a huge earthquake.
